We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Remote Translator to join our global team. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to one of the world’s most iconic brands from anywhere. This position is 100% remote, allowing you flexibility while working with a dynamic international team. As a Translator, you will be responsible for accurately and effectively translating a variety of documents from German to English, ensuring that our communications are precise, culturally relevant, and uphold the high standards of Mercedes-Benz. Your work will directly support our engineering, marketing, legal, and corporate communications departments, playing a crucial role in our global presence.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Translate a diverse range of technical, marketing, legal, and internal corporate documents from German into English.
• Ensure linguistic accuracy, cultural appropriateness, and consistent terminology across all translated materials.
• Perform thorough proofreading and editing of translated content to guarantee error-free delivery.
• Effectively utilize translation memory (TM) tools, glossaries, and style guides to maintain consistency and efficiency.
• Collaborate closely with subject matter experts, project managers, and other translators to clarify content and terminology.
• Manage multiple translation projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks to meet strict deadlines.
• Maintain the highest level of confidentiality regarding all sensitive company information and translated content.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Native-level fluency in English (target language) with exceptional writing, grammar, and stylistic abilities.
• Exceptional proficiency in German (source language), including a deep understanding of nuances and idiomatic expressions.
• Minimum of 2 years of proven professional experience in German to English translation.
• Strong understanding of automotive industry terminology, technical concepts, or related engineering fields.
• Proficiency with leading Computer-Assisted Translation (CAT) tools (e.g., SDL Trados Studio, MemoQ, Across).
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage workload effectively, and thrive in a remote work environment.
• Meticulous attention to detail and an unwavering commitment to delivering high-quality translations.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Translation, Linguistics, German Studies, or a closely related field.
