Stellenbeschreibung

We are seeking a talented and motivated Hybrid Hardware Development Engineer to join our innovative team in Locarno. In this role, you will contribute to the design, development, and testing of cutting-edge hardware solutions for our industrial automation products. This is a hybrid position requiring presence in our Locarno office for two days a week, fostering collaboration and hands-on development, with the flexibility to work remotely for the remaining days. You will be instrumental in bringing new products from concept to production, ensuring high performance, reliability, and adherence to industry standards.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Design and develop analog and digital electronic circuits for industrial applications.
• Create detailed schematics, PCB layouts, and bill of materials.
• Conduct hardware testing, debugging, and validation to ensure product functionality and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software, mechanical, and manufacturing engineers.
• Perform root cause analysis for hardware issues and implement effective solutions.
• Contribute to design reviews, technical documentation, and product lifecycle management.
• Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Prototype and evaluate new technologies and components.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in hardware design and development.
• Proficiency with EDA tools (e.g., Altium Designer, Eagle, OrCAD).
• Strong understanding of analog and digital circuit design principles.
• Experience with microcontrollers, FPGAs, and embedded systems.
• Familiarity with communication protocols (e.g., SPI, I2C, UART, Ethernet).
• Hands-on experience with hardware testing and debugging equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers).
• Solid problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Fluent in English.

• Experience in industrial automation or power electronics.
• Knowledge of EMC/EMI compliance and testing.
• Experience with design for manufacturability (DFM) and testability (DFT).
• Proficiency in German or Italian.
• Experience with C/C++ for embedded firmware development.
