Are you passionate about working with nature and contributing to sustainable agriculture? Weleda is seeking a dedicated Lavender Farm Assistant to join our team in Ravensburg. This hands-on role involves various tasks related to the cultivation, care, and harvesting of lavender and other medicinal herbs in a biodynamic farming environment. You will be an integral part of ensuring the quality and integrity of our raw materials, which are essential for our renowned natural products. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy physical outdoor work and are eager to learn about organic and biodynamic farming practices.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Assisting with the planting, weeding, and general care of lavender and other herb crops.
• Participating in the manual harvesting of lavender flowers and other herbs during peak seasons, ensuring quality standards are met.
• Operating and maintaining basic farm equipment under supervision.
• Preparing fields for planting and assisting with soil enrichment activities.
• Monitoring plant health and identifying potential issues like pests or diseases.
• Assisting with post-harvest processing, such as drying, sorting, and storage of herbs.
• Maintaining cleanliness and organization of farm tools and work areas.
• Adhering to strict biodynamic and organic farming principles and safety regulations.
• Performing other general farm duties as required.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Physical stamina and ability to perform repetitive tasks, lift moderate weights, and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Strong work ethic and reliability.
• Ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Attention to detail, especially during harvesting and plant care.
• A genuine interest in agriculture, horticulture, or natural products.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Bevorzugte Qualifikationen

• Previous experience in farming, gardening, or outdoor manual labor is a plus, but not essential.
• Basic knowledge of organic or biodynamic farming principles.
• Familiarity with plant care and cultivation techniques.
• Fluency in German is advantageous, but not strictly required.
