Stellenbeschreibung
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Hybrid Neuroscience Data Modeler to join our pioneering Brain Research division in Gera. This role is pivotal in transforming complex neuroscientific data into actionable insights, contributing directly to the development of next-generation diagnostic and therapeutic solutions. You will work within a dynamic, interdisciplinary team, leveraging advanced modeling techniques, machine learning, and statistical analysis to understand brain function and pathology. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in neuroscience, data science, and computational modeling, with a passion for innovation in healthcare.
Hauptverantwortlichkeiten
- Design, develop, and implement computational models for neuroscientific data, including fMRI, EEG, MEG, and structural MRI.
- Perform advanced statistical analysis and machine learning on large-scale brain imaging and clinical datasets.
- Collaborate with neuroscientists, clinicians, and engineers to define research questions and translate them into data modeling strategies.
- Develop and maintain robust data processing pipelines and visualization tools.
- Interpret complex data findings and present them clearly to diverse audiences.
- Contribute to scientific publications and presentations at conferences.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in neuroscience, data science, and AI/ML techniques.
- Ensure data integrity, quality, and adherence to ethical guidelines and privacy regulations.
Erforderliche Fähigkeiten
- Strong proficiency in Python or R for data analysis and modeling.
- Experience with machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
- Solid understanding of neuroanatomy, neurophysiology, and cognitive neuroscience.
- Proven experience with neuroimaging data analysis software (e.g., FSL, SPM, AFNI, FreeSurfer).
- Excellent statistical analysis skills and understanding of experimental design.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, interdisciplinary team environment.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

- Ph.D. in Neuroscience, Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
