Stellenbeschreibung
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Hybrid Fuel Cell Systems Engineer to join our innovative research and development team in La Chaux-de-Fonds. In this role, you will be instrumental in the design, development, and integration of advanced hybrid fuel cell power systems for various applications, including automotive, marine, and stationary power generation. You will work on critical projects from concept through to validation, focusing on system architecture, component selection, control strategies, and performance optimization. Hauptverantwortlichkeiten
- Design and develop system architectures for hybrid fuel cell power systems, including fuel cells, batteries, power electronics, and thermal management.
- Perform detailed system modeling and simulation to predict performance, efficiency, and transient behavior.
- Select and integrate appropriate components (e.g., fuel cell stacks, DC/DC converters, battery packs, hydrogen storage systems).
- Develop and implement control strategies for optimal power management and system operation.
- Conduct experimental testing and validation of prototype systems, analyzing data and identifying areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical, mechanical, and software engineers, as well as external partners.
- Prepare technical documentation, reports, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in fuel cell technology, hydrogen production, and energy storage.
- Ensure compliance with relevant safety and environmental standards.
Erforderliche Fähigkeiten
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in the design and development of fuel cell systems or hybrid power systems.
- Strong knowledge of fuel cell electrochemistry, system dynamics, and control principles.
- Proficiency in system modeling and simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink, AMESim, GT-SUITE).
- Experience with power electronics and battery management systems.
- Familiarity with hydrogen storage and handling systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong analytical mindset.
- Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, for technical documentation and international collaboration.
Bevorzugte Qualifikationen
- PhD in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Experience with specific fuel cell technologies (e.g., PEMFC, SOFC).
- Knowledge of automotive or marine industry standards and regulations.
- Familiarity with functional safety concepts (e.g., ISO 26262).
- Experience with hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing.
- Proficiency in German or French is a plus.
