Stellenbeschreibung

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled English Speaking Stem Cell Biologist to join our innovative research and development team in Düsseldorf. This is a hybrid position, offering a flexible balance between on-site lab work and remote collaboration. The successful candidate will be instrumental in advancing our understanding of stem cell biology and its applications in therapeutic development. You will contribute to cutting-edge projects, performing complex experiments, analyzing data, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive our research forward.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Design and execute experiments involving human and/or induced pluripotent stem cells (hPSCs/iPSCs) and their differentiation.
• Perform characterization of stem cell cultures using a variety of molecular, biochemical, and cell-based assays.
• Analyze experimental data, interpret results, and present findings in internal meetings and scientific publications.
• Maintain detailed laboratory records, protocols, and experimental data in accordance with best practices.
• Operate and maintain specialized laboratory equipment for cell culture and molecular analysis.
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams, including molecular biologists, pharmacologists, and bioinformatics specialists.
• Contribute to the preparation of scientific manuscripts, patent applications, and grant proposals.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and ethical guidelines in stem cell research.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Ph.D. in Cell Biology, Developmental Biology, Molecular Biology, or a related field.
• Proven expertise in sterile cell culture techniques, particularly with human pluripotent stem cells (hPSCs/iPSCs).
• Strong proficiency in molecular biology techniques such as PCR, Western Blot, ELISA, flow cytometry, and immunofluorescence.
• Demonstrated ability to design, execute, and troubleshoot complex experiments independently.
• Excellent data analysis skills and experience with statistical software.
• Fluency in English, both written and verbal, for effective communication in a global scientific environment.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented research setting.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Bevorzugte Qualifikationen

• Postdoctoral experience in stem cell research or regenerative medicine.
• Experience with gene editing technologies (e.g., CRISPR/Cas9) in stem cell systems.
• Familiarity with high-throughput screening or automated cell culture platforms.
• Track record of scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals.
• Experience in a pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry setting.
• German language skills (B2 or higher) are a plus, but not required.
