Stellenbeschreibung

We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Museum Attendant / Guard to join our team in Baar, Zug. As a key member of our security staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of museum visitors, exhibits, and the premises. Your primary role will involve monitoring the galleries, providing assistance to visitors, and enforcing museum policies. Fluency in English is a mandatory requirement for this role, enabling effective communication with our diverse international visitors. This is an on-site, full-time position critical to maintaining a positive and secure environment within a prominent cultural institution.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Monitor assigned areas to prevent theft, vandalism, or other security breaches.
• Provide friendly and professional assistance to museum visitors, answering questions and directing them as needed.
• Enforce museum rules and regulations to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all.
• Respond to emergencies, including medical incidents, fire alarms, and security threats, following established protocols.
• Report any unusual incidents, security concerns, or maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular patrols and inspections of the museum premises.
• Assist with the opening and closing procedures of the museum.
• Operate security equipment such as CCTV systems and alarm panels as required.

• Fluency in English (written and spoken).
• Excellent observational and communication skills.
• Strong sense of responsibility and integrity.
• Ability to remain calm and effective in emergency situations.
• Physical ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Customer service orientation.

• Previous experience in security, museum operations, or customer service.
• Knowledge of additional languages (e.g., German, French).
• First Aid and/or CPR certification.
• Understanding of cultural sensitivity and visitor engagement in a museum setting.
