As a Hybrid Algorithmic Bias Auditor specializing in Responsible AI at IBM, you will play a critical role in ensuring the fairness, transparency, and ethical integrity of our AI systems. This position involves a blend of technical analysis, ethical reasoning, and cross-functional collaboration. You will be responsible for identifying, quantifying, and mitigating algorithmic biases across various AI models and applications, ensuring compliance with internal standards and emerging regulations. Your work will directly contribute to building trust in our AI solutions and upholding IBM’s commitment to responsible innovation.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Conduct rigorous audits and assessments of AI models and datasets to detect and measure algorithmic bias and unfairness.
• Develop and implement advanced methodologies and tools for bias detection, quantification, and mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with data scientists, AI engineers, product managers, and legal teams to integrate responsible AI principles into the AI development lifecycle.
• Provide expert guidance and recommendations on ethical AI design, data collection, model training, and deployment practices.
• Document audit findings, propose actionable mitigation strategies, and track their implementation and effectiveness.
• Stay abreast of the latest research, industry best practices, and regulatory landscape concerning AI ethics and bias.
• Educate and raise awareness among internal teams about the importance of responsible AI and the potential impact of algorithmic bias.
• Contribute to the development of internal policies and guidelines for ethical AI and fair algorithms.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts, algorithms, and model development lifecycle.
• Proven experience with bias detection techniques, fairness metrics, and interpretability methods (e.g., LIME, SHAP).
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, with experience in relevant libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, AIF360, Fairlearn).
• Solid knowledge of statistical analysis, data modeling, and data science principles.
• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and ethical guidelines related to AI (e.g., GDPR, EU AI Act, NIST AI Risk Management Framework).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to communicate complex technical and ethical concepts effectively to diverse audiences.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
