Stellenbeschreibung

We are seeking a highly motivated Chemical Engineer to join our research and development team in an English-speaking lab environment in St. Gallen. The successful candidate will be instrumental in designing, optimizing, and scaling up chemical processes for novel agricultural solutions. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects, contributing to the development of products that make a real difference to farmers worldwide. You will be part of a diverse and dynamic team, collaborating with scientists and engineers from various backgrounds.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Design, develop, and optimize chemical processes for active ingredient synthesis and formulation development.
• Conduct laboratory and pilot plant experiments, analyzing data to improve process efficiency and product quality.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams including chemists, biologists, and regulatory specialists.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols, environmental regulations, and quality standards.
• Prepare detailed technical reports, process flow diagrams, and standard operating procedures.
• Troubleshoot process issues and implement corrective actions.
• Evaluate new technologies and methodologies to enhance R&D capabilities.
• Present findings and recommendations to internal stakeholders.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in an English-speaking professional environment.
• Strong understanding of chemical engineering principles, reaction kinetics, and mass transfer.
• Proficiency in process simulation software and data analysis tools.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Bevorzugte Qualifikationen

• Experience in the agricultural, pharmaceutical, or fine chemical industry.
• Familiarity with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Knowledge of sustainable chemistry principles and green engineering.
• Proficiency in German is a plus, but not required for daily lab work.
