Stellenbeschreibung

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Welding Inspector with a strong background in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) to join our quality assurance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of welding quality and material integrity across various projects. This role involves meticulous inspection, documentation, and adherence to international codes and standards.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Perform visual inspections and various NDT methods (PT, MT, UT, RT interpretation) on welded components and structures.
• Verify welder qualifications, welding procedures (WPS), and associated documentation.
• Monitor welding processes to ensure compliance with specified parameters and quality standards.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports and maintain comprehensive records of all inspections.
• Identify and document welding defects, recommend corrective actions, and verify rework.
• Liaise with production teams, engineers, and clients regarding inspection findings and quality requirements.
• Ensure all inspection activities comply with relevant industry codes, standards (e.g., ISO, EN, ASME), and company procedures.
• Participate in root cause analysis for recurring defects and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Certified Welding Inspector (e.g., IWI, AWS CWI, CSWIP 3.1 or 3.2)
• NDT Level 2 certification in at least two methods (e.g., PT, MT, UT, RT interpretation)
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in welding inspection and NDT within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Thorough understanding of welding processes (e.g., SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, FCAW) and metallurgy.
• Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and welding specifications.
• Strong knowledge of international welding codes and standards (e.g., ISO 3834, EN 1090, ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code).
• Excellent communication and report writing skills in English and German.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Bevorzugte Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Welding Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with advanced NDT techniques (e.g., Phased Array UT, ToFD).
• Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001).
• Experience in heavy industry, steel production, or automotive sector.
