We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Research Intern to join our English Speaking Institute’s research team. This is an excellent opportunity for students or recent graduates interested in gaining practical experience in academic research within a prestigious university setting. The intern will support ongoing projects related to English language acquisition, intercultural communication, and digital humanities. The role involves assisting with literature reviews, data collection and analysis, and preparing research materials. You will work closely with experienced researchers and contribute to meaningful studies that have a real impact on our understanding of language and culture.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Conduct comprehensive literature reviews and synthesize findings relevant to ongoing research projects.
• Assist in the collection and organization of qualitative and quantitative data.
• Support data analysis using various research methodologies and software.
• Prepare research materials, presentations, and draft reports or articles.
• Contribute to the development of research protocols and study designs.
• Attend team meetings and actively participate in discussions.
• Perform administrative tasks to support the smooth operation of research activities.
• Maintain meticulous records of research progress and findings.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Proficiency in conducting literature searches and summarizing academic texts.
• Familiarity with qualitative or quantitative research methods.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail.

Bevorzugte Qualifikationen

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in English Studies, Linguistics, Communication, Humanities, or a related field.
• Previous experience in academic research or a research-intensive course.
• Knowledge of statistical software (e.g., SPSS, R) or qualitative analysis software (e.g., NVivo).
• Basic understanding of German language is a plus, but not required.
