Stellenbeschreibung

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Hybrid UAV/Drone Systems Engineer to join our innovative team in Pforzheim. In this role, you will be instrumental in the design, development, and integration of cutting-edge unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) and drone systems. You will work on multidisciplinary projects, bridging the gap between hardware and software to create robust, reliable, and high-performance aerial platforms for various applications. This hybrid role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the full lifecycle of drone development, from concept to deployment, in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

  • Design, develop, and integrate hybrid UAV/drone systems, including propulsion, power management, control, and communication subsystems.
  • Perform system-level testing, validation, and debugging of hardware and software components.
  • Develop and implement flight control algorithms, navigation systems, and mission planning tools.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical engineers, mechanical engineers, software developers, and researchers.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols.
  • Conduct performance analysis, identify areas for improvement, and implement innovative solutions.
  • Document design specifications, test plans, and operational procedures.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

  • Proven experience in UAV/drone systems engineering or robotics.
  • Strong understanding of flight dynamics, control systems, and navigation principles.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C++ and Python.
  • Experience with ROS (Robot Operating System) and Gazebo simulation environment.
  • Familiarity with sensor integration (GPS, IMU, LiDAR, cameras).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken).

Bevorzugte Qualifikationen

  • Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with specific drone platforms (e.g., DJI, ArduPilot, PX4).
  • Knowledge of embedded systems and real-time operating systems.
  • Familiarity with functional safety standards for aviation or robotics.
  • Basic German language skills are a plus.
