Join BASF in Kreuzberg, Berlin, for an exciting Chemical Engineering Internship. This program offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a leading global chemical company. You will work alongside experienced engineers on real-world projects, contributing to process optimization, material science, and sustainable chemical solutions. This internship is designed for students eager to apply their academic knowledge in a dynamic industrial setting and develop practical skills vital for a career in chemical engineering. Hauptverantwortlichkeiten
- Assist in the design, development, and optimization of chemical processes and equipment.
- Conduct experiments, collect and analyze data, and present findings to project teams.
- Support the implementation of new technologies and sustainable practices.
- Contribute to safety analyses and risk assessments for chemical operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, production, and quality control.
- Prepare technical reports, presentations, and documentation.
- Participate in daily team meetings and contribute to problem-solving discussions.
Erforderliche Fähigkeiten
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
- Strong understanding of chemical engineering principles (thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, heat/mass transfer, reaction kinetics).
- Proficiency in English (written and verbal communication).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic knowledge of process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus, Hysys) is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Bevorzugte Qualifikationen
- Previous experience in a laboratory or industrial setting.
- Knowledge of German is beneficial but not required.
- Familiarity with data analysis tools and programming languages (e.g., Python, MATLAB).
- Demonstrated interest in sustainable chemistry or circular economy principles.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate complex ideas clearly.
