Stellenbeschreibung
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Automation Engineer with a strong focus on PLC programming to join our team in Delmenhorst, Germany. This role is critical for the design, development, implementation, and optimization of automation solutions for various industrial applications. You will be instrumental in ensuring the seamless operation of our advanced systems, contributing to projects from conception through to commissioning. Excellent command of the English language is a mandatory requirement for this international role, as you will be collaborating with diverse global teams and clients.
Hauptverantwortlichkeiten
- Design, develop, and program Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), primarily Siemens S7, TIA Portal, for complex industrial automation systems.
- Configure and integrate HMI/SCADA systems to provide intuitive operator interfaces.
- Perform system testing, commissioning, and validation on-site and in the factory acceptance test (FAT) environment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve automation system issues, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical, electrical, and process engineers, to ensure integrated solutions.
- Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including functional specifications, design documents, and test procedures.
- Provide technical support and training to end-users and maintenance personnel.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest automation technologies and industry trends.
Erforderliche Fähigkeiten
- Proven experience in PLC programming (Siemens S7, TIA Portal)
- Proficiency in HMI/SCADA system development and integration
- Strong understanding of industrial communication protocols (e.g., Profinet, Profibus, Industrial Ethernet)
- Solid knowledge of electrical control systems and schematics
- Ability to read and interpret P&ID diagrams and control narratives
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal, for technical communication and documentation
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Bevorzugte Qualifikationen
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field
- Experience with other PLC platforms (e.g., Rockwell, Beckhoff)
- Familiarity with functional safety standards and safety PLC programming
- Knowledge of German language is a plus but not mandatory
- Experience in a specific industry such as automotive, food & beverage, pharmaceutical, or renewable energy
- Project management experience in automation projects
