We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Cyber Security Intern to join our remote team. This is an exceptional opportunity for an aspiring cybersecurity professional to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, enterprise-level environment. You will work alongside experienced security professionals, contributing to various projects aimed at protecting IBM’s assets and client data. This role is 100% remote, offering flexibility and the chance to collaborate with a diverse global team.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Assist in the monitoring of security alerts and incidents, performing initial triage and escalation as needed.
• Support vulnerability management processes, including scanning, reporting, and tracking remediation efforts.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of security documentation, policies, and procedures.
• Participate in security awareness initiatives and training programs.
• Research emerging cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and security technologies.
• Aid in the configuration and management of security tools and systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement security best practices.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles and concepts (e.g., networking, operating systems, cloud security).
• Familiarity with common operating systems (Windows, Linux).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or similar productivity tools.
