Stellenbeschreibung

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated English Speaking 5G Network Planner to join our dynamic team in Lausanne. In this hybrid role, you will be instrumental in the planning, design, and optimization of cutting-edge 5G radio access networks (RAN). You will work with the latest technologies, contributing to the expansion and enhancement of our mobile network infrastructure, ensuring superior performance and capacity for our customers. This position offers an exciting opportunity to shape the future of connectivity in Switzerland and beyond.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Perform detailed 5G RAN planning and design activities, including capacity planning, coverage analysis, and new site deployment strategies.
• Utilize advanced planning tools and software to develop network designs and optimize performance.
• Conduct site surveys and evaluate potential locations for new 5G cell sites, considering technical and logistical requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including RF engineers, deployment teams, and operations, to ensure seamless network integration.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including network design specifications, guidelines, and performance reports.
• Analyze network performance data and recommend solutions for optimization and issue resolution.
• Stay updated with the latest 5G technologies, standards, and industry best practices.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Proven experience in mobile network planning, specifically with 4G/LTE and 5G RAN technologies.
• Strong understanding of 5G architecture, protocols, and radio access network components.
• Proficiency in network planning tools such as Atoll, Planet, or similar RF planning software.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to network optimization.
• Ability to communicate complex technical information effectively in English, both written and verbal.
• Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively within a hybrid team environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.

Bevorzugte Qualifikationen

• Master's degree in Telecommunications or a related field.
• Experience with Ericsson RAN products and solutions.
• Certifications in 5G technologies or network planning.
• Familiarity with cloud-native network functions and virtualized RAN (vRAN/Open RAN) concepts.
• Proficiency in French or German is a plus.
