Stellenbeschreibung

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled English Speaking Cognitive Psychology Researcher to join our dynamic team in a hybrid capacity, based in our Berlin office. This role involves designing, conducting, and analyzing experiments to understand human cognition and behavior, particularly as it relates to technology and user interaction. You will collaborate with engineers, designers, and other researchers to integrate psychological insights into product development and research initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cognitive psychology, excellent research methodology skills, and the ability to communicate complex findings effectively to a diverse audience.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Design and implement cognitive psychology experiments, including developing hypotheses, selecting appropriate methodologies, and creating experimental stimuli.
• Recruit and manage study participants, ensuring ethical guidelines and data privacy are strictly adhered to.
• Collect, process, and analyze quantitative and qualitative data using statistical software and advanced analytical techniques.
• Interpret research findings and translate them into actionable insights for product development and strategic decision-making.
• Prepare and present research reports, papers, and presentations to internal teams and external scientific communities.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineers, UX designers, product managers, and other researchers.
• Stay abreast of the latest research and developments in cognitive psychology, human-computer interaction, and related fields.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Ph.D. in Cognitive Psychology, Experimental Psychology, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
• 2+ years of post-doctoral or industry experience in cognitive psychology research.
• Demonstrated expertise in experimental design, statistical analysis (e.g., ANOVA, regression, mixed models), and data visualization.
• Proficiency with statistical software packages (e.g., R, Python with SciPy/Pandas, SPSS, JASP).
• Fluent in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a meticulous approach to research.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative, interdisciplinary team.

• Experience with eye-tracking, EEG, fMRI, or other neurophysiological research methods.
• Familiarity with qualitative research methodologies (e.g., interviews, focus groups).
