Stellenbeschreibung

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled English Speaking Stem Cell Biologist to join our dynamic research and development team. This hybrid role is crucial for advancing our understanding and application of stem cell technologies in various research areas, including disease modeling, drug discovery, and regenerative medicine. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and executing experiments, analyzing data, and contributing to scientific publications and presentations. You will work within a collaborative environment, utilizing state-of-the-art facilities and equipment to push the boundaries of stem cell research.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Design, plan, and execute experiments involving human and/or induced pluripotent stem cells (hPSCs/iPSCs), including cell culture, differentiation, and characterization.
• Develop and optimize protocols for stem cell expansion, differentiation into various cell types (e.g., neurons, cardiomyocytes, hepatocytes), and genetic manipulation.
• Perform various molecular and cellular biology techniques such as qPCR, Western blotting, immunofluorescence, flow cytometry, and high-content imaging.
• Analyze and interpret complex experimental data, maintain detailed laboratory records, and prepare technical reports and summaries.
• Present research findings at internal meetings and external scientific conferences.
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams, including molecular biologists, bioinformaticians, and engineers.
• Ensure strict adherence to laboratory safety protocols and maintain lab equipment.
• Contribute to grant applications, patent filings, and scientific publications.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• PhD in Cell Biology, Developmental Biology, Molecular Biology, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with human pluripotent stem cell culture, differentiation, and characterization (post-PhD experience is highly preferred)
• Proficiency in sterile cell culture techniques and aseptic practices
• Demonstrated expertise in molecular biology techniques (qPCR, Western blot) and cell-based assays (immunofluorescence, flow cytometry)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a meticulous approach to experimental design and data interpretation
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team

Bevorzugte Qualifikationen

• Postdoctoral experience in stem cell research
• Experience with CRISPR/Cas9 genome editing in hPSCs
• Familiarity with bioinformatics tools for analyzing omics data (e.g., RNA-seq, ATAC-seq)
• Experience with organoid culture or 3D cell culture models
• Track record of scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals
