Stellenbeschreibung

We are seeking a talented and passionate Hybrid AR/VR Interaction Designer to join our innovative team in Wels, Upper Austria. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in designing intuitive and groundbreaking user experiences for Meta’s AR/VR products. You will work across a variety of immersive platforms, from conceptualization and prototyping to user testing and final implementation. This is a hybrid role, requiring a balance of on-site collaboration and remote work, allowing you to contribute to a dynamic global team while enjoying the benefits of our local office environment.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Design and prototype engaging and intuitive user interfaces and interactions for AR/VR applications, ensuring a seamless and natural user experience.
• Conduct user research, usability testing, and gather feedback to inform design decisions and iterate on concepts.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including engineers, product managers, and other designers to bring concepts to life.
• Develop and maintain design systems, guidelines, and best practices for AR/VR interaction design.
• Present design concepts, prototypes, and user research findings to stakeholders and integrate feedback effectively.
• Stay current with AR/VR technology trends, industry best practices, and emerging interaction paradigms.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Proficiency in 3D design and prototyping tools (e.g., Unity, Unreal Engine, Blender, Maya).
• Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies.
• Experience with wireframing, storyboarding, user flows, and interaction specifications.
• Demonstrable portfolio showcasing AR/VR interaction design projects or relevant 3D design work.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in English.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Bevorzugte Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Interaction Design, HCI, Product Design, or a related field.
• Experience with scripting or programming languages (e.g., C#, Python, JavaScript) for prototyping.
• Familiarity with Haptics and spatial audio design principles for immersive experiences.
• Experience designing for specific AR/VR platforms (e.g., Oculus Quest, Microsoft HoloLens, Magic Leap).
• Knowledge of accessibility best practices in AR/VR.
