Stellenbeschreibung

We are seeking an innovative and passionate Hybrid Autonomous Driving Engineer to join our R&D team in La Chaux-de-Fonds. This role focuses on the development and integration of advanced autonomous driving systems, specifically targeting hybrid approaches that combine perception, planning, and control algorithms for robust real-world performance. You will contribute to the entire development lifecycle, from conceptualization and algorithm design to simulation, testing, and deployment on test vehicles. Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

  • Design, develop, and implement algorithms for perception, localization, mapping, prediction, planning, and control in autonomous driving systems.
  • Integrate various ADAS/AD components and modules into a cohesive system architecture.
  • Conduct extensive simulations, hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing, and on-road vehicle testing.
  • Analyze and interpret large datasets from vehicle sensors to refine algorithms and improve system performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software, hardware, and validation engineers.
  • Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and contribute to architectural decisions.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in autonomous driving, machine learning, and robotics research.
  • Document designs, test procedures, and results comprehensively.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

  • Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 4 years of professional experience in autonomous driving, robotics, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in C++ programming and software development for real-time systems.
  • Strong understanding of perception algorithms (e.g., LiDAR, camera, radar processing) and sensor fusion.
  • Experience with motion planning, trajectory generation, and control algorithms.
  • Familiarity with autonomous driving platforms (e.g., ROS, Apollo) and simulation tools.
  • Knowledge of machine learning techniques for perception or prediction tasks.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Bevorzugte Qualifikationen

  • Experience with functional safety standards (e.g., ISO 26262).
  • Familiarity with high-performance computing (GPU programming).
  • Experience with deep learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
  • Publications in top-tier conferences or journals in related fields.
  • Experience with embedded systems and automotive-grade hardware.
  • Proficiency in German or French.
