Stellenbeschreibung

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Hybrid Biogas Plant Operations Manager to oversee the efficient and safe operation of our biogas production facilities in the Gotha region. This pivotal role involves a blend of on-site leadership and remote administrative tasks, ensuring optimal plant performance, compliance with all regulatory standards, and continuous improvement initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing daily operations, leading a team of technicians, optimizing production processes, and maintaining stringent safety and environmental protocols. You will be instrumental in maximizing the output and profitability of our biogas assets while adhering to our commitment to sustainability and operational excellence.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Manage and optimize the daily operations of multiple hybrid biogas plants, ensuring maximum efficiency and output.
• Lead, train, and develop a team of plant technicians and operators, fostering a culture of safety and high performance.
• Implement and monitor operational procedures, maintenance schedules, and quality control programs.
• Ensure strict compliance with all environmental, health, and safety regulations (EHS) and company policies.
• Monitor plant performance metrics, analyze data, and identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.
• Oversee the procurement and management of feedstocks, ensuring quality and consistent supply.
• Coordinate with engineering, maintenance, and R&D teams for plant upgrades, troubleshooting, and new project integration.
• Prepare and manage operational budgets, financial forecasts, and performance reports.
• Respond to operational incidents, diagnose issues, and implement corrective actions promptly.
• Maintain detailed records of plant operations, maintenance activities, and regulatory compliance.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Proven experience in biogas plant operations or similar renewable energy facilities.
• Strong understanding of biological processes, anaerobic digestion, and biogas production technologies.
• Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Proficiency in English (written and spoken) is essential for communication with international teams and documentation.
• Familiarity with EHS regulations and quality management systems.
• Competency in using SCADA systems and other plant control software.
• Valid driver's license.

Bevorzugte Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Certification in Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies.
• Experience with energy management systems and grid integration.
• Knowledge of German language (B1 level or higher) is a plus, though not strictly required.
• Project management experience.
