Stellenbeschreibung

We are seeking a talented and motivated Hybrid Hardware Development Engineer to join our innovative team in Villingen-Schwenningen. This role involves working on cutting-edge hardware solutions for our industrial automation and digitalization products. You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of hardware development, from concept to production, ensuring robust and high-performance designs. The position requires strong collaboration with cross-functional teams and a commitment to quality and innovation. This is a hybrid role, offering flexibility to work both on-site at our Villingen-Schwenningen facility and remotely, fostering a balanced and productive work environment. All internal communication and documentation will be in English.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Design, develop, and test electronic hardware for industrial applications, including analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuits.
• Create detailed schematics, PCB layouts, and bill of materials (BOM).
• Conduct hardware bring-up, debugging, and verification processes.
• Perform design reviews and provide technical feedback to peers.
• Collaborate with software, mechanical, and production teams to ensure seamless product integration.
• Develop test plans, procedures, and fixtures for hardware validation.
• Document design specifications, test results, and manufacturing instructions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware-related issues during development and post-release.
• Stay up-to-date with new technologies and industry trends to continuously improve design methodologies.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Proficiency in analog and digital circuit design.
• Experience with PCB design tools (e.g., Altium Designer, Eagle, KiCad).
• Strong understanding of microcontroller-based systems and embedded hardware.
• Familiarity with various communication interfaces (e.g., SPI, I2C, UART, Ethernet, CAN).
• Hands-on experience with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, spectrum analyzers).
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Fluent written and spoken English for all professional communications.

Bevorzugte Qualifikationen

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with functional safety standards (e.g., IEC 61508).
• Knowledge of FPGA design and VHDL/Verilog.
• Familiarity with simulation tools (e.g., SPICE).
• Experience in industrial automation or similar regulated environments.
