Stellenbeschreibung
We are seeking a talented and motivated Hybrid Hardware Development Engineer to join our innovative team in Villingen-Schwenningen. This role involves working on cutting-edge hardware solutions for our industrial automation and digitalization products. You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of hardware development, from concept to production, ensuring robust and high-performance designs. The position requires strong collaboration with cross-functional teams and a commitment to quality and innovation. This is a hybrid role, offering flexibility to work both on-site at our Villingen-Schwenningen facility and remotely, fostering a balanced and productive work environment. All internal communication and documentation will be in English.
Hauptverantwortlichkeiten
- Design, develop, and test electronic hardware for industrial applications, including analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuits.
- Create detailed schematics, PCB layouts, and bill of materials (BOM).
- Conduct hardware bring-up, debugging, and verification processes.
- Perform design reviews and provide technical feedback to peers.
- Collaborate with software, mechanical, and production teams to ensure seamless product integration.
- Develop test plans, procedures, and fixtures for hardware validation.
- Document design specifications, test results, and manufacturing instructions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware-related issues during development and post-release.
- Stay up-to-date with new technologies and industry trends to continuously improve design methodologies.
Erforderliche Fähigkeiten
- Proficiency in analog and digital circuit design.
- Experience with PCB design tools (e.g., Altium Designer, Eagle, KiCad).
- Strong understanding of microcontroller-based systems and embedded hardware.
- Familiarity with various communication interfaces (e.g., SPI, I2C, UART, Ethernet, CAN).
- Hands-on experience with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, spectrum analyzers).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Fluent written and spoken English for all professional communications.
Bevorzugte Qualifikationen
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with functional safety standards (e.g., IEC 61508).
- Knowledge of FPGA design and VHDL/Verilog.
- Familiarity with simulation tools (e.g., SPICE).
- Experience in industrial automation or similar regulated environments.
