We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Hybrid Hydropower Project Lead to join our Dam Engineering team. This critical role involves leading complex hydropower projects from conceptual design through to commissioning, focusing on dam engineering aspects. The successful candidate will combine deep technical expertise in civil and structural engineering for dams with strong project management capabilities, operating in a hybrid work model that balances on-site presence at project locations with remote work flexibility. You will be instrumental in ensuring the successful delivery of projects, adhering to the highest standards of safety, quality, and environmental compliance, while contributing to sustainable energy solutions.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Lead the planning, execution, and closure of hydropower dam engineering projects.
• Manage multidisciplinary project teams, including civil, structural, geotechnical, and hydraulic engineers.
• Oversee all phases of dam design, construction, and rehabilitation, ensuring technical excellence and compliance with international standards.
• Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies for dam safety and project delivery.
• Ensure adherence to environmental regulations and promote sustainable engineering practices.
• Prepare and present detailed project reports, technical specifications, and contract documents.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers within the dam engineering team.
• Implement innovative solutions and best practices in hydropower dam design and construction.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Proven experience in leading dam engineering projects for hydropower applications.
• Expertise in civil engineering, structural analysis, geotechnics, and hydrology related to dams.
• Strong proficiency in project management methodologies and tools (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, balancing site visits with remote collaboration.
• Fluency in English; proficiency in German or French is a significant asset.
• Deep understanding of international dam safety guidelines and regulations.

Bevorzugte Qualifikationen

• Master's degree or Ph.D. in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license or equivalent international certification.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
• Experience with numerical modeling software for dam analysis (e.g., PLAXIS, SAP2000, ABAQUS).
• Prior experience working with international project teams and diverse cultural backgrounds.
