We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Hybrid Motorsport Aerodynamics Engineer to join our innovative motorsport division in Stuttgart. This role is crucial for developing and optimizing aerodynamic solutions for our next-generation hybrid racing vehicles. You will be instrumental in pushing the boundaries of performance and efficiency, working within a dynamic team to translate complex designs into race-winning advantages. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CFD, wind tunnel testing, and an understanding of how aerodynamics interact with hybrid powertrains and vehicle dynamics.
Hauptverantwortlichkeiten
- Lead the aerodynamic design and optimization process for hybrid motorsport vehicles.
- Conduct advanced Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations and analyze results to inform design decisions.
- Plan, execute, and analyze wind tunnel tests, correlating data with CFD simulations and track performance.
- Collaborate closely with powertrain, vehicle dynamics, and chassis design teams to ensure integrated performance.
- Develop innovative aerodynamic concepts and contribute to long-term research projects.
- Support race operations with real-time aerodynamic analysis and setup optimization.
- Prepare detailed technical reports and present findings to senior engineering and management teams.
- Stay abreast of the latest aerodynamic technologies and motorsport regulations.
Erforderliche Fähigkeiten
- Master's degree in Aeronautical, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in motorsport aerodynamics, with a focus on hybrid or high-performance vehicles.
- Proficiency in advanced CFD software (e.g., Star-CCM+, ANSYS Fluent) and post-processing tools.
- Strong understanding of aerodynamic principles, fluid dynamics, and their application in motorsport.
- Experience with wind tunnel testing methodologies and data acquisition/analysis.
- Solid knowledge of CAD software (e.g., CATIA, SolidWorks).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Bevorzugte Qualifikationen
- PhD in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Experience with hybrid powertrain integration and its aerodynamic implications.
- Familiarity with motorsport regulations (e.g., FIA WEC, Formula E).
