We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Hybrid Naval Architecture Draftsman to join our dynamic engineering team in Hamm. This role requires a professional capable of working both remotely and on-site as needed, contributing to the design and development of advanced marine vessels. The ideal candidate will possess a strong command of technical English for all communication and documentation. You will be instrumental in translating engineering concepts into precise and accurate technical drawings and plans, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project specifications. Hauptverantwortlichkeiten
- Develop detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings, schematics, and layouts for naval vessels and marine structures, using CAD software.
- Collaborate closely with naval architects and engineers to translate design concepts and calculations into comprehensive drafting packages.
- Ensure all drawings comply with relevant international maritime standards, classification society rules, and internal company procedures.
- Prepare material lists, bill of materials (BOM), and specifications based on approved drawings.
- Review and revise existing drawings and plans based on design changes, feedback, and as-built information.
- Maintain organized records of drawings, revisions, and project documentation.
- Assist in the preparation of design reports and technical documentation.
- Participate in design reviews and provide technical input where required.
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders in English.
Erforderliche Fähigkeiten
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Aveva Marine or similar naval specific software).
- Strong understanding of naval architecture principles and ship construction methods.
- Excellent technical drafting skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Fluent in English (written and verbal) for all professional communications.
- Problem-solving aptitude and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Knowledge of maritime classification society rules (e.g., DNV, Lloyd's Register, GL).
Bevorzugte Qualifikationen
- Vocational degree or technical certification in Naval Architecture, Mechanical Drafting, or a related field.
- Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems.
- Familiarity with German industrial standards and regulations.
- Prior experience in the shipbuilding or offshore industry.
- Ability to create parametric models and utilize scripting for automation.
