Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Hybrid Offshore Wind Structural Engineer to join our innovative Marine Energy team in Döbling, Vienna. This pivotal role involves the structural design, analysis, and optimization of offshore wind turbine foundations and supporting structures, including jackets, monopiles, and floating solutions. You will be instrumental in developing robust and efficient designs that withstand the challenging marine environment, ensuring the longevity and performance of our offshore wind projects. This hybrid role combines office-based design work with occasional site visits and collaboration across various engineering disciplines. We are looking for an individual with a strong foundation in structural engineering principles, a passion for renewable energy, and the ability to contribute to complex, large-scale projects.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Perform structural analysis and design of offshore wind turbine foundations (e.g., monopiles, jackets, floating structures) in accordance with international standards and codes (e.g., DNVGL, IEC).
• Develop detailed structural models using advanced finite element analysis (FEA) software.
• Conduct fatigue and ultimate limit state design checks, considering environmental loads such as wind, wave, and current.
• Prepare technical specifications, design reports, and documentation for structural components.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including naval architects, geotechnical engineers, electrical engineers, and project managers.
• Support tender processes by providing structural engineering input and cost estimations.
• Participate in design reviews and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental regulations.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of design processes and methodologies.
• Perform site visits and inspections as required to support project development and construction phases.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Master's degree in Civil, Structural, Marine, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in structural design and analysis, specifically with offshore structures or large-scale civil engineering projects.
• Proficiency in finite element analysis (FEA) software (e.g., Ansys, SACS, USFOS, ABAQUS).
• Strong understanding of steel design principles and relevant international codes and standards (e.g., Eurocodes, DNVGL).
• Experience with hydrodynamic and aerodynamic load assessment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).

Bevorzugte Qualifikationen

• PhD in a relevant engineering field.
• Experience with floating offshore wind structures.
• Familiarity with geotechnical engineering principles for foundation design.
• Knowledge of CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
• Experience in project management or lead engineering roles.
• Proficiency in German is a plus.
