Stellenbeschreibung

As a Hybrid Pharmacology Researcher – English at Evotec AG, you will be an integral part of our dynamic research team, contributing to groundbreaking drug discovery programs. This hybrid position offers the flexibility of working both on-site at our state-of-the-art facility in Hamburg, Germany, and remotely. You will be instrumental in designing, executing, and analyzing complex pharmacological experiments, focusing on novel therapeutic targets across a range of disease indications. We seek a passionate and proficient English-speaking scientist who can seamlessly integrate into our international scientific community and drive the development of life-changing medicines.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Design and execute sophisticated in vitro and/or in vivo pharmacological experiments to validate drug targets and characterize novel compounds.
• Rigorously analyze, interpret, and effectively communicate experimental data and findings to multidisciplinary internal and external stakeholders.
• Develop and optimize new assays, experimental models, and research methodologies to advance drug discovery projects.
• Actively collaborate with a diverse team of medicinal chemists, biologists, data scientists, and other experts to achieve project milestones.
• Maintain meticulous and comprehensive laboratory records, ensuring adherence to the highest scientific and regulatory standards.
• Prepare comprehensive scientific reports, engaging presentations, and contribute to peer-reviewed publications.
• Proactively stay informed about the latest scientific literature, technological advancements, and regulatory guidelines in pharmacology and drug discovery.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Master's degree or Ph.D. in Pharmacology, Biology, Biochemistry, or a closely related life science discipline.
• A minimum of 2 years of relevant post-Master's experience or 0+ years post-Ph.D. experience in an industry or academic research setting.
• Demonstrated strong theoretical understanding and practical proficiency in pharmacological principles and experimental techniques.
• Proven expertise in designing, performing, and analyzing various in vitro assays (e.g., cell-based assays, receptor binding, enzyme kinetics) and/or in vivo models.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English are mandatory for this international role.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with an acute attention to detail.
• Capacity to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

Bevorzugte Qualifikationen

• Ph.D. in Pharmacology or a highly relevant scientific discipline.
• Specific research experience in therapeutic areas such as neuroscience, oncology, immunology, or infectious diseases.
• Familiarity with laboratory automation technologies and high-throughput screening platforms.
• A strong track record of scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals or presentations at international conferences.
• Proficiency in German language skills is a beneficial asset, though not a requirement for the role.
