Stellenbeschreibung

As a Hybrid Smart Grid Architect, you will be instrumental in designing and implementing advanced smart grid solutions that integrate renewable energy sources, energy storage, and modern grid management systems. You will work on the cutting edge of energy technology, developing architectures that enhance grid stability, efficiency, and resilience. This role requires a deep understanding of energy systems, IT/OT convergence, and the ability to translate complex technical requirements into practical, scalable solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, clients, and partners to deliver innovative projects that contribute to a sustainable energy future.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Design and architect end-to-end smart grid solutions, including distributed energy resources (DER) integration, microgrids, and grid automation systems.
• Develop technical specifications, system designs, and integration plans for new smart grid technologies and upgrades.
• Evaluate and select appropriate hardware, software, and communication protocols for smart grid deployments.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering teams throughout the project lifecycle, from conception to commissioning.
• Collaborate with customers and stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into robust architectural solutions.
• Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and performance analyses of smart grid architectures.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes in the energy sector.
• Participate in proposals, presentations, and technical discussions with clients and partners.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in smart grid architecture, energy management systems (EMS), or distribution management systems (DMS).
• Strong understanding of power systems engineering, including grid operations, stability, and control.
• Proficiency in various communication protocols used in smart grids (e.g., IEC 61850, DNP3, Modbus).
• Experience with renewable energy integration (solar, wind) and battery energy storage systems (BESS).
• Knowledge of IT/OT convergence and cybersecurity best practices for critical infrastructure.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their application in energy solutions.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Fluency in English and German.

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Certifications in enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF) or cybersecurity.
• Experience with data analytics platforms and AI/ML applications in grid optimization.

• Publication or presentation experience in relevant industry conferences.
