Are you a philosophy student with a keen interest in the practical applications of your discipline in the digital age? SAP is seeking a talented and intellectually curious Philosophy Intern to join our remote data team. This unique internship offers an exciting opportunity to apply critical thinking, ethical reasoning, and linguistic analysis to complex data challenges. You will contribute to projects involving natural language processing, data governance, and the ethical implications of AI, ensuring our data practices are thoughtful, robust, and aligned with human values. This is a 100% remote position, allowing you to contribute from anywhere.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Analyze and annotate data for specific linguistic, conceptual, or ethical nuances.
• Conduct research on philosophical topics relevant to data science, such as epistemology, ethics of AI, and philosophy of language.
• Assist in developing guidelines for data classification, tagging, and interpretation.
• Identify and articulate potential biases or ethical considerations in data sets and algorithmic outputs.
• Contribute to reports and presentations summarizing research findings and recommendations.
• Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and product managers to integrate philosophical insights into technical solutions.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Philosophy or a related field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
• Demonstrated interest in the intersection of philosophy, technology, and data.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.

Bevorzugte Qualifikationen

• Familiarity with basic data analysis concepts or tools (e.g., spreadsheets, basic scripting).
• Prior experience with content analysis, linguistic annotation, or qualitative research.
• Knowledge of ethical frameworks in AI and data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR).
• Proficiency in German is a plus but not required.
