Join ABB, a global technology leader, as a Technical Writer in our dynamic IT team. We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual who is a native English speaker to create clear, concise, and comprehensive documentation for our complex IT systems, software, and applications. Your expertise will be crucial in translating intricate technical information into easily understandable content for various audiences, including developers, engineers, and end-users. This role requires close collaboration with product managers, developers, and other subject matter experts to ensure accuracy and consistency across all documentation.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Develop, write, and edit high-quality technical documentation, including user manuals, installation guides, API documentation, release notes, and online help systems.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, QA engineers, and other subject matter experts to gather information and ensure accuracy of content.
• Maintain and update existing documentation to reflect product changes and improvements.
• Ensure all documentation adheres to established company style guides, standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Manage documentation projects from inception to completion, including planning, scheduling, and delivery.
• Review and test documentation for accuracy, completeness, and usability.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of documentation processes and tools.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Native English speaker with exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
• Proven experience in technical writing within the IT or software industry.
• Proficiency with documentation tools (e.g., Confluence, Jira, Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe FrameMaker, MadCap Flare, SharePoint).
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycles and agile methodologies.
• Ability to understand complex technical concepts and present them clearly and accurately.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.

• Bachelor’s degree in Technical Communication, English, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience with content management systems (CMS) and version control systems (e.g., Git).
