Stellenbeschreibung

We are seeking a dedicated and physically fit Tree Nursery Worker to join our team in St. Valentin, Lower Austria. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about horticulture and outdoor work. No prior German language skills are required, as we foster an inclusive and diverse work environment. You will be responsible for the daily care and maintenance of a wide range of trees and plants, ensuring their healthy growth and preparation for sale. This role involves various tasks from planting and watering to pruning and pest control, all performed within a supportive team setting.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Planting, potting, and transplanting trees, shrubs, and other plants.
• Watering plants regularly and monitoring soil moisture levels.
• Pruning, trimming, and shaping plants to promote healthy growth and desired forms.
• Identifying and controlling pests and diseases using appropriate methods.
• Preparing plants for shipment and assisting with loading/unloading.
• Maintaining cleanliness and organization within the nursery area.
• Operating basic nursery equipment safely (e.g., watering systems, hand tools).
• Assisting with inventory management and plant labeling.
• Adhering to all safety regulations and company policies.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Strong work ethic and reliability.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Attention to detail in plant care and maintenance.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Basic understanding of plant care principles (e.g., watering needs, sun exposure) is a plus.
• No German language skills required; English or other languages are welcome.

Bevorzugte Qualifikationen

• Previous experience in a nursery, landscaping, or agricultural setting.
• Knowledge of various tree species and their specific care requirements.
• Driver's license (Class B).
