We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Working Student to join our Hardware Prototyping team in Thalwil. This is an exceptional opportunity for a student currently pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science, or a related field, who is eager to gain hands-on experience in the development and testing of cutting-edge hardware solutions. You will be an integral part of our R&D efforts, contributing to the creation of innovative products that will shape the future of industrial automation. Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

  • Assist senior engineers in the design, assembly, and testing of hardware prototypes.
  • Perform soldering, wiring, and component placement for various electronic circuits.
  • Conduct functional tests and debugging on prototypes, documenting results meticulously.
  • Support the procurement and inventory management of electronic components and tools.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (software, mechanical) to ensure seamless integration.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of prototyping processes and methodologies.
  • Maintain a clean and organized laboratory workspace.
  • Research new technologies and components relevant to ongoing projects.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • Basic understanding of electronics and circuit theory.
  • Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
  • Familiarity with soldering and basic lab equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies).
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Bevorzugte Qualifikationen

  • Previous experience with CAD software for PCB design (e.g., Altium Designer, Eagle, KiCad).
  • Familiarity with microcontrollers (e.g., Arduino, Raspberry Pi) and embedded systems.
  • Knowledge of Python or other scripting languages for automation or data analysis.
  • Experience with 3D printing or other rapid prototyping techniques.
  • Exposure to industrial automation concepts or systems.
