Stellenbeschreibung

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Working Student to join our Localization team in Horgen. In this role, you will primarily support the management and optimization of our Translation Memory (TM) assets. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about language, technology, and data, eager to gain hands-on experience in the localization industry within a global tech company. You will contribute to improving translation quality, consistency, and efficiency across various products and services, working closely with linguists, project managers, and engineers.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Assist in the maintenance and update of Translation Memories (TMs) and term bases.
• Perform data analysis on TM utilization and identify areas for optimization.
• Support linguistic quality assurance (LQA) processes by analyzing TM segments and identifying potential issues.
• Collaborate with localization project managers to ensure TM assets are correctly integrated into workflows.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of TM management best practices.
• Conduct linguistic research and provide feedback on translation quality and consistency.
• Help prepare linguistic assets for translation projects.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to ongoing projects.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Linguistics, Translation Studies, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
• Excellent command of English (native or near-native proficiency).
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with CAT (Computer-Assisted Translation) tools and Translation Memory (TM) concepts.
• Basic understanding of the localization industry and its challenges.
• Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides) or Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Bevorzugte Qualifikationen

• Experience with specific CAT tools (e.g., SDL Trados, MemoQ, Memsource).
• Basic knowledge of a third language (e.g., German, French, Italian).
• Understanding of machine translation (MT) and post-editing processes.
• Prior experience in data analysis or quality assurance.
• Interest in linguistic data and technology.
