We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Working Student to join our dynamic research team focused on zoology data. This role is perfect for a student eager to gain practical experience in scientific data management within an academic setting. You will play a crucial part in maintaining and organizing our diverse zoological datasets, ensuring their accuracy and accessibility for ongoing research projects. This position requires fluency in English for effective communication within our international team and with various data sources.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Perform accurate data entry, cleaning, and validation of zoological information into our databases.
• Organize and maintain digital archives of research materials, including images, reports, and literature.
• Assist in quality control procedures to ensure data integrity and consistency.
• Support researchers with data extraction and preparation for analysis.
• Communicate effectively with team members and external collaborators regarding data requirements and status.
• Contribute to documentation of data collection and processing protocols.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program (e.g., Biology, Zoology, Environmental Sciences, Data Science, or a related field).
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken, with excellent communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, for data management.
• Basic understanding of zoological concepts or biological terminology.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Bevorzugte Qualifikationen

• Prior experience with scientific data entry or database management.
• Familiarity with R, Python, or other statistical software for basic data manipulation.
• Experience in an academic research environment.
• Knowledge of German is a plus, but not required.
