We are seeking a Hybrid Algorithmic Bias Auditor with a strong focus on Responsible AI to join our innovative team in Hanau. In this critical role, you will be instrumental in identifying, analyzing, and mitigating biases within AI systems and algorithms across various client projects. You will work with diverse datasets, machine learning models, and deployment environments to ensure fairness, transparency, and ethical compliance. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, analytical rigor, and a deep understanding of ethical AI principles. You will collaborate with data scientists, engineers, ethicists, and business stakeholders to develop and implement best practices for responsible AI deployment.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Conduct comprehensive audits of AI/ML models to detect and quantify algorithmic biases across various demographic groups and protected attributes.
• Develop and apply robust methodologies, tools, and metrics for bias detection, explainability (XAI), and fairness assessment.
• Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to implement bias mitigation strategies and fairness-aware algorithms.
• Document audit findings, risk assessments, and recommendations for improvement in a clear and actionable manner.
• Stay abreast of the latest research, industry standards, and regulatory developments in Responsible AI, ethics, and fairness.
• Advise clients and internal teams on best practices for designing, developing, and deploying ethical and unbiased AI systems.
• Contribute to the development of internal frameworks and governance policies for Responsible AI.
• Facilitate workshops and training sessions on algorithmic bias and ethical AI for technical and non-technical audiences.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Proven experience with AI/ML model development, evaluation, and deployment.
• Strong understanding of statistical analysis, data science, and machine learning principles.
• Hands-on experience with bias detection tools and techniques (e.g., AIF360, Fairlearn, What-If Tool).
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python (with libraries like Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Familiarity with ethical AI frameworks, principles, and regulatory landscape (e.g., EU AI Act, NIST AI Risk Management Framework).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment.

Bevorzugte Qualifikationen

• Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Data Science, Ethics, or a related quantitative field.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and MLOps practices.
• Knowledge of privacy-preserving techniques (e.g., differential privacy, federated learning).
• Previous experience in a consulting role or working with multiple clients.
• Certifications in AI ethics, data governance, or machine learning.
