We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Hybrid Subsea Cable Routing Specialist to join our Deep Sea Technology team in Graz, Styria, Austria. This specialist role involves designing and optimizing subsea cable routes for global telecommunications networks. The successful candidate will leverage advanced hydrographic data, geological analysis, and regulatory knowledge to ensure optimal cable deployment and longevity. This position requires a deep understanding of marine environments, risk assessment, and project management in a hybrid work setting.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Conduct detailed subsea route planning and optimization using GIS and specialized software.
• Analyze hydrographic, bathymetric, and geological data to identify optimal cable pathways and avoid hazards.
• Assess environmental impacts and regulatory requirements for subsea cable installations.
• Collaborate with marine engineers, project managers, and clients to develop comprehensive routing solutions.
• Prepare detailed route surveys, permits, and documentation.
• Participate in site visits and offshore operations as required.
• Stay abreast of new technologies and industry best practices in subsea cable routing.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Proven experience in subsea cable routing or marine geophysics (minimum 5 years).
• Proficiency in GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS) for spatial analysis.
• Strong understanding of marine geology, oceanography, and bathymetry.
• Familiarity with international maritime regulations and environmental standards.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
