Stellenbeschreibung
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Payroll Assistant to join our Corporate Finance Team in St. Pölten. This is an excellent opportunity for an organized individual to contribute to the accurate and timely processing of payroll for our employees. The ideal candidate will support various payroll functions, ensuring adherence to internal policies and Austrian labor law. You will work closely with the Human Resources department and other finance professionals, playing a key role in maintaining employee satisfaction through accurate compensation.
Hauptverantwortlichkeiten
- Assist in the preparation and processing of monthly payroll for all employees.
- Verify payroll data, including hours worked, leave, deductions, and new hires/terminations.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations, including tax laws and social security contributions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date payroll records and employee information.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, deductions, and benefits in a timely and professional manner.
- Prepare payroll-related reports for management and auditing purposes.
- Support month-end and year-end close activities related to payroll.
- Collaborate with HR and accounting departments to resolve payroll discrepancies and improve processes.
- Assist with special projects and ad-hoc tasks as required by the Corporate Finance Team.
Erforderliche Fähigkeiten
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Basic understanding of payroll processes and calculations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Bevorzugte Qualifikationen
- Prior experience in a payroll or administrative role is a plus.
- Familiarity with Austrian labor law and social security regulations.
- Experience with payroll software (e.g., SAP HCM, DATEV) is advantageous.
- Relevant vocational training or a degree in finance, accounting, or business administration.
- Proficiency in German and English language.
