Stellenbeschreibung

We are seeking an experienced and innovative Hybrid Aerospace Propulsion Engineer to join our Aviation R&D team in Bregenz, Austria. This pivotal role involves the research, design, development, and testing of next-generation hybrid propulsion systems for various aerospace applications. You will be instrumental in exploring and implementing innovative solutions that combine traditional and electric propulsion methods to enhance efficiency, reduce emissions, and improve performance in future aircraft.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Lead the conceptual design, analysis, and optimization of hybrid propulsion architectures and components.
• Develop detailed specifications and performance requirements for hybrid propulsion systems.
• Perform advanced thermodynamic, fluid dynamic, and structural analyses using simulation tools.
• Design and execute test plans for sub-systems and full propulsion prototypes.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams including electrical engineers, control engineers, and manufacturing specialists.
• Contribute to patent applications and technical publications related to propulsion innovations.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and research in aerospace propulsion, electrification, and sustainable aviation fuels.
• Prepare comprehensive technical reports, presentations, and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in aerospace propulsion system design and development, with a focus on hybrid or electric propulsion.
• Proficiency in thermodynamic cycle analysis and turbomachinery design.
• Strong understanding of fluid dynamics, heat transfer, and combustion principles.
• Expertise with CAD software (e.g., CATIA, SolidWorks) and FEA tools (e.g., ANSYS, Abaqus).
• Experience with simulation tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, GT-Power, or similar.
• Solid project management and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken).

• PhD in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Experience with advanced simulation techniques for multiphysics problems.
• Familiarity with aviation certification processes (EASA, FAA) and regulatory standards.
• Proficiency in German language.
