This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the fast-paced world of subtitling, working with a global leader. No prior German language skills are required for this role; your primary working language will be English. You will learn the intricacies of creating high-quality subtitles, ensuring accuracy, cultural relevance, and perfect synchronization for a diverse range of content.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Assist experienced subtitlers in preparing, proofreading, and reviewing subtitle files for various content types (film, TV series, documentaries).
• Learn to work with professional subtitling software and tools.
• Ensure linguistic accuracy, grammatical correctness, and stylistic consistency in English subtitles.
• Verify subtitle synchronization with video content.
• Research terminology and cultural nuances to ensure appropriate localization.
• Contribute to quality control processes and feedback loops.
• Participate in team meetings and training sessions to deepen understanding of subtitling workflows and industry best practices.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Excellent command of the English language (native or near-native proficiency) with strong grammar, spelling, and punctuation skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage tasks efficiently.
• Proficiency with standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• A strong passion for media, film, television, and languages.

Bevorzugte Qualifikationen

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Linguistics, Translation, Media Studies, Film Production, or a related field.
• Familiarity with various audio-visual content formats and genres.
• Prior exposure to or interest in subtitling software (training will be provided).
• Knowledge of an additional language (other than German) is a plus, but not required.
